Lahore: After a thrilling match in the seventh match of the PSL Five, Islamabad United defeated the Lahore Qalandars .
In the seventh match of the Pakistan Super League played in Lahore, Islamabad United captain Shadab Khan won the toss and decided to field first. Chris Lane and Fkhurzman started the innings on behalf of the Lahore Qalandars. Chris Lane was out after scoring 11 and Fakhzman returned to Pavilion for 33.
Lahore Qalandars captain Sohail Akhtar proved to be the only guest of the innings, and wicketkeeper batsman Dan Vilas also scored just 3 runs, but Mohammad Hafeez scored a half-century in the batting line-up with Sam Patel. He scored 51 and contributed to the team’s scoreboard, but Patel made only 10 runs.
David Vieja scored 19 off 8 balls while Mohammed Hafeez scored 98 not out, which gave Qalandars a target of 183 for United. Shadab Khan took two wickets, Ahmed Abdullah, Mohammad Musa and Fahim Ashraf took one wicket each from Islamabad United.
In reply, Luke Runner and Colin Munro from Islamabad United started the inning. Islamabad remain unbeaten on target, but Lahore showcased good bowling with nine out of Islamabad. Islamabad United achieved the target of 183 runs just one ball before losing 9 wickets.
Mohammad Musa performed best on Islamabad while Shadab Khan was declared Man of the Match.
