Lahore: For the first time in the history of HBL Pakistan Super League, commentary will be broadcast in Pakistan’s national language “Urdu”.
The Pakistan Cricket Board has arranged live commentary in English as well as in Urdu during live broadcast of the television match to keep cricket fans connected with the game. Waqar Younas and Uroz Mumtaz will comment on Urdu. This commentary panel comprising former players will provide viewers with commentary in Urdu for up to 5 overs in each innings during the match, which will be aired on local channels.
In addition, for the first time during the last three matches of the HBLPSL 2020, the interaction between players and commentators through SpiderCam will also force fans to stay connected to the TV screens through on-field action. In the meantime the player on the ground will have a conversation with the commentator in the commentary box.
A total of 28 cameras, including Super Slow and Ultra Motion cameras, will be used during broadcast coverage of the HBL Pakistan Super League 2020. During the league, the SpiderCam and Hawkball tracking system will be available during matches played in all four cities, Karachi, Lahore, Multan and Rawalpindi.
In this regard, PCB has also announced the commentary panel for HBLPSL. Dominic Korak and South African female commentator Kas Naidoo will be the first to comment on HBLPSL. Danny Morrison, Michael Slater, Alan Wilkins and Juanti Rhodes, on the other hand, have been retained on the commentary panel.
