Multan Sultanz batting in reply to Peshawar Zalmi 123 runs

 

 
  Multan: In the eighth match of the PSL Five, Peshawar Zalmay gave Multan Sultans an easy target of 124 runs in response to which the Multan Sultans’ batting continues.
  The second leg of the fifth edition of the Pakistan Super League starts from Multan today, for the first time in a match being played in Multan, the entire team of Peshawar Zalmi was bowled out for 123 in the 19th over.
  In pursuit of the target, James Vince and Sean Masood started the innings, Vince returned the pavilion at 5 runs, after which Moin Ali returned for batting but he too proved to be only 2 runs.
  Earlier, Sean Masood, captain of the Multan Sultans, won the toss and decided to field first. Kamran Akmal and Tom Benton started the innings from Peshawar Zalmi, James Wynn dropped Benton’s catch on Mohammad Irfan’s second ball, but Shahid Afridi caught the catch on the fifth ball of the first over. Did Kamran Akmal, the maker of the last match, also scored 15 runs?
  Mohammad Ilyas, a young bowler from Multan Sultanz, sent Pavilion to Shoaib Malik for two runs in one over and then returned Liam Livingstone without opening the account. The young batsman Haider Ali played a brilliant 47-ball 47, but could not finish his half century.
  Peshawar Zalmi captain Darren Sammy scored only 2 off 13 balls, Liam Dawson cautiously batted but Shahid Afridi sent him back to Pavilion for 22 and Wahab Riaz also scored only 9, Hussein Ali. Only scored 8 runs.
  Sohail Tanvir, Multan Sultanz got four wickets, Mohammad Irfan and Mohammad Elias took 2 and Shahid Afridi and Imran Tahir took one wicket each.
