Ahmed Shehzad, who came in to bat at number three, scored only 12 runs, but opener Jason Rowe diligently scored half-century, but failed to hit big shorts. Captain Sarfraz Ahmed scored 41 off 25 balls.
Azam Khan, who successfully led the Quetta Gladiators in the first match, returned the pavilion with only 5 off 9 balls, while Jason Rowe remained unbeaten on 73. Wahab Riaz took 2 wickets while Aamir Khan and Darren Sammy took one wicket each from Peshawar Zalmi.
