Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Bannu was set up on 1st July 1990. It was also working under the realm of BISE Peshawar. After the increased load of candidates and students the Board was obvious to split up.
Now BISE Bannu acts as an independent body and deals with expenditure and all other activities on its own. It is currently and always has been working as per the NWFP Ordinance 1990. BISE Bannu has been providing quality standards of examinations for almost three decades and right now they are managing more than 700 educational institutes and other private sectors.
The area of Bannu lies in the north eastern region of Pakistan. This region touches the side of Afghanistan and other disputed territories. Though BISE Bannu has been established for relatively less time but the organization has put up a lot in giving best of their educational and examinational standards in the area so far.
BISE Bannu is in the province of KPK and it has more than 10 districts. After the split from BISE Peshawar, BISE Bannu has hold of two districts and one agency that are Bannu District, Laki Marwatt District, North Waziristan Agency.
The two districts include numerous rural areas or perhaps majority rural areas but still the result of Bannu Board is proven to be better. It is the responsibility for BISE Bannu to conduct and carry out examinations throughout its chain of command. The classes that are considered eligible for BISE Bannu are 5th, 8th, 9th, 10thand FSC.
SSC and HSSC are recognized by all the boards in Pakistan. BISE has a distinct objective that the importance of aims and objectives of education is recognized by all the educational, professional, political, nonpolitical and religious associations, organizations and groups at various levels in their memoranda, letters and brochures.
Nations rise and fall with the state of their consciousness; and the yardstick use to measure the state of consciousness of a nation is its level of education. Education without clear-cut aims is like a rudderless ship and as such, Secondary Boards play a pivotal role in providing enlightened education and examination services to the entire nation. The future of a nation depends mainly on its education system
Results are announced after a few months on the official website that is https://www.biseb.edu.pk/. Students can get their results on the official website or via the application that BISE Bannu has recently launched. Functionality of BISE Bannu is to:
- Hold and conduct SSC, HSSC and Pakistani languages examinations.
- Register/affiliate private & Govt. Institutions.
- Fix, demand and receive fees as may be prescribed.
- Prescribe courses of instructions for SSC and HSSC.
- Appoint examiners and supervisory staff for the conduct of examinations.
- Ensure provision of requisite facilities in the affiliated institutions.
- Inspection of private institutions and establishment and up gradation of existing private institutions as per Ordinance.
Other than these it is the duty of the Board to hold sports events to indulge students in extracurricular activities. Students are also awarded prizes and scholarships for their outstanding performances in the exams.
