Board of Intermediate Secondary Education Sargodha was founded in the 1968, this board and that of Lahore are known to be the pioneers of examination sector in Pakistan.
The Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education, Sargodha was established in 1968 under the West Pakistan Board of Intermediate & Secondary Education (Multan and Sargodha) Ordinance No. VII of 1968, with the jurisdiction of Sargodha and Rawalpindi Civil Divisions.
It started its functions in different rented buildings in Satellite Town, Sargodha. It was shifted in the present campus in 1975. Before its advent Lahore Board was holding command all over Punjab and Sargodha board only dealt with the western regions.
In the start Sargodha Board was assigned to conduct HSSC and SSC examinations but now it has the all the responsibilities that of the other Boards on the cities falling under its jurisdictions. So BISE Sargodha individually works to conduct exams in the cities lying under its radar and also other duties that are assigned to it.
BISE Sargodha has the hold of all the western region of Punjab for examination purposes that are Sargodha, Mianwali, Khushab, and Bhakkar. All these cities are the responsibility of BISE Sargodha. Hence the Board is defined to conduct and hold examination in these cities under the distinct curriculum. BISE Sargodha was at first hold only examinations of SSC and HSSC but currently it is conducting the examinations of 5th, 8th, 9th, 10th, and FSc.
The period of examination is quite similar to of the other Boards. Annual exams of classes 9th and 10th are hosted in March and April while the annual exams of classes 11th and 12th are hosted in May and June respectively. The date sheets and roll no slips for the annual exams are given digitally by the official website of BISE Sargodha just before two months of exams. Alongside that, the move number slips of the students are dispatched by the board to the referenced locations of the students around one month preceding the exams.
Results announced by BISE Sargodha are in all clarity and are announced following few months after exams. The high achievers are also provided with rewards and great distinctions. An award ceremony is held every year to recognize the hard working students for their efforts. The results are announced on the official website.
Other than that the respective institutes also give away the result cards to respective students two days after the announcement of result. However, in other fluctuations students can get their result cards directly form the BISE Sargodha office. BISE Sargodha is also rising up in the sports sector and is holding sports championships every year among all the cities under its wing.
The championships are readily enjoyed and participated in by the students. Relatively the students are a bit tenacious toward studies.
